I'd like to begin by saying the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints did NOT make me codependent. I found the church when I was 16 and joined when I was 18.
My codependency is due to being raised in an alcoholic home combined with years of physical, mental and sexual abuse.
The Church, if anything, saved my life and helped me to recover, even when I didn't know I was so very broken.
So, you've found out you are codependent, what next? From Day 1 until today, I hope my journey is a help and benefit to you!
You can get better! All it takes is loving yourself and you are WORTH loving. You are a child of God and He LOVES you.
I've broken my journey up into multiple parts.
